The Talk (Poem)

Nervous and anxious beyond measure,

Anticipating the worst in pursuit for the best.

Longing for a new beginning —a rebirth,

And suffocating in the restrictions of my decaying life.

Passing in public with cordial communications,

While my underlying scheme for departure awaits.

Secretly loathing the time and dreading the hour,

Which will arise an awakening to my termination.

Afraid of the spiteful response of my Master,

Fearful of the displeasing tone of his voice.

My worrisome tendencies overflow my brain,

With thoughts of the unknown and the terrifying talk.
