Denny's Date (100 Word Story)

My boyfriend Cody and I have a tradition of drawing each other’s blind contour portrait every time we go to Denny’s. We draw on the blank side of our kid’s menus without lifting our crayons or releasing our caressing gaze from across the table. Our waitress intervened once saying, "Sorry for the delay! You two seemed to be having such a great time, I didn’t want to interrupt.” Cody and I didn’t mind that she took 40 minutes to get our order — it meant more to us to that even our waitress could recognize that we’re in love.
