Element made a huge come back with their "Peace" film, an audiovisual project, directed by Jon Miner. The last time Element released a skate video was in 2016 with their films "Zygote" (11 minutes long) and "Elemental Wizards" (6 minutes long). Both of these films were given a 3 star rating, however; "Peace" received a 5 star rating and about 15,000 views. Element also dedicated a clothing line in honor of the "Peace" film which you can access by copying and pasting this link in your url (apologies it won't allow me to insert an accessible link): https://us.elementbrand.com/c/peace. The premiere took place on September 28th at the Montalban Theatre in Hollywood. In order to attend the "Peace" premiere, you had to order tickets through eventbrite, who emailed you the location a few days prior to the showing. There were two, back to back showings that contained swarms of people filling every seat in the theatre. The line to enter the theatre went around the block as we all waited for hours for the premiere. The film features the Element's riders Brandon Westgate, Evan Smith, Nyjah Huston, Madars Apse, Mason Silva, Nick Garcia, Julian Davidson, Tyson Peterson, Greyson Fletcher, Tom Schaar, Jaakko Ojanen, Nassim Guammaz, Ethan Loy, Dominick Walker, and more. Although this film was 62 minutes long, every second was absolutely captivating and all of the rider's parts were wholly insane, especially Evan Smith's and Mason Silva's. This is a must see film that will literally have you mind blown of the capabilities these riders have proved are possible in the realm of skating. And I can honestly say, this was by far my favorite skate premiere I've ever been to. Saying I was impressed is an understatement, I was absolutely astonished at the pure art and talent in these riders. Yet again, Element displayed the force and power in skating through encompassing the essence of wind, water, fire, and earth. Linked below is the trailer to the "Peace" film and following that is the full length video ($3.99 on YouTube (which is cheaper than Amazon's price). Lastly, I included some Polaroids Cody took of me from the event.
