The Foundation premiere, "Souvenir" which is directed and edited by Don Luong, took place at RVCA's headquarters and was free and open to the public. Before the film premiered, there was a skate jam in RVCA's parking lot and free IPA was served until they ran out. The film features the skaters Dakota Servold, Cole Wilson, Corey Glick (who just recently went pro for Foundation and his part is so fucked), Aidan Campell, Ryan Spencer, Nick Merlino, Dylan Witkin, John Clemmons, Austin Thongvivong, and Joey Ragali. I really admired the various angles and cameras used to create this video. "Souvenir" displays a more "retro" and "grainier" viewpoint with a different angle of the same clip filmed on a clearer, higher quality camera. I think that really registered with today's culture in regards to the mix of modern high definition and the come back of the "film" like appearance. I also love the intro of "Souvenir" which portrayed the lonesome wheel rolling down the concrete and a fast-flash interruption of memorable photos. Although I personally think that this company is underrated, all these guys parts are absolutely ridiculous and their setting the bar high for skateboarding. Foundation deserves to be recognized for how much their team rips through their style and power. Overall, outstanding video as a whole. (Video below)
