Your intrigued by my cover

Glance at it,

Grasp it,

Even read the title of it.

Then you explore past my exterior,

Reading into my pages,

Analyzing the words revealed to you,

Fascinated by the book that I am.

But not even a few chapters in,

And you've lost your interest,

In fact, you've lost your bookmark in me too.

You put me back on the shelf,

Like all the other books you'll never finish reading.

And I remained closed cover to cover,

Until another reader finds my title or cover appealing,

And yet again, I hope they can finish my entire story,

As I wait for someone to appreciate not my cover,

But all the depths which lie in it.
