Retrograde (Poem)

I find it strange how in retrospective

You can have an altered point of view

Of an unalterable point of time.

That the irreversible past,

Can exhibit interchangeable

Emotions in the present.

Maybe that's why I find memories

To be so beautiful:

The essence of the memory itself

Is infinitely stagnant,

But the emotional perspective

Is inevitably dynamic.
