Growlers Six Festival (Event)

The Growlers Six Festival set the bar high in the game for The Observatory to compete with and they are now bringing back Beach Goth 2018 at a different venue in LA as a one day festival. If you are unaware, there was a lawsuit between The Observatory and the Growlers because The Observatory was suing the band over the trade mark on the festival name "Beach Goth". The Observatory blamed the Growlers for selling Beach Goth merchandise despite the fact that The Observatory was advertising Beach Goth with the Growlers promoted all over it. The vocalist from the Growlers, Brooks Nielsen, also claims that the name Beach Goth was an ongoing joke about his lyrics, hence the band's music having a beachy sound with lyrics that largely revolve around depressing concepts such as death.

ANYWAYS...enough discussion upon Beach Goth, I mean it's dead anyways, but cheers to The Growlers Six Festival, keeping it alive in the music industry! This two day festival was located at the LA Waterfront. It was a literal festival. Carnival food, flying swing set, motorcycle wall of death, drag queen show, and several different stages for performances. The lineup was unreal too (apologies it's too long to list but I will post a picture of it below). Really stoked I was able to experience this, unfortunately I was only able to go on Saturday, but it was an unforgettable time and probally the best concert I've been to yet. There's nothing I love more than listening to live music with friends who appreciate artists at the same magnitutde as I do in a surrounding enviornment of people or even better, people with costumes ;)
