Beautiful Disappointment (Poem)

I never had high expectations, but you gave me no doubts in your false acts of sincerity.

Perhaps that's what devastates me more:

you present no reason to failure,

but inevitably you did fail me,

twice actually.

And God you were cunning with your scheme.

To effortlessly charm me,

to insult me with your forbidden actions.

To uplift my self esteem,

To deprive me of all confidence and wither in my own insecurites.

To give me a hopeful outcome,

To destruct any chance of prosperity.

To give me a glimpse of love,

To shatter the glass I envisioned it through.

And here I remain:

I as the ugly hopelessness

And you as the beautiful disappointment.
